@Jens_Rasmussen @AnimeTradCath @MeBigbrain he hasn't been a video game culture youtuber for a long time. he plays games and comments on just about everything that happens. 100% certified breadtuber at this point.
he was trying to understand if this other dude, sneako (the guy he criticized for not knowing the difference between mags and clips), was being sincere about wanting to lower the age of consent or if it was just a big misunderstanding, because he "likes to try and assume the best in people." sneako recorded the conversation without crit knowing.
I might also add that the Clips-Mags knowledge has become so widespread that there hasn't been any excuse to not know the difference unless you are a literal child, a woman or clearly not interested in anything firearms, including their depiction in video games.

@Jens_Rasmussen @AnimeTradCath @MeBigbrain basically sneako was saying that child marriage was okay as long as the parents and child were okay with it, and he more or less put the age as "once they are physically mature" i.e. able to bear children.
crit disagreed. sneako asked "do you think it's okay for kids to undergo hormone therapy" and crit said "yes as long as the parents and child consent to it." sneako asked if that extended to a kid "going to the doctor and getting their dick cut off" and crit said yes, it does.
then crit made a video saying that sneako jumped right to the dick cutting question and that he thought it was hyperbole, so he responded saying yes because he didn't think that anybody thought that's all being transgender was. obviously that's a lie and it makes him look even worse, but people are eating it up because they're brainless. crit then clarified again that he thinks HRT for children is fine if they go through all the necessary steps and the parents are aware, and then they can get the surgery when they are 18.
@Jens_Rasmussen @AnimeTradCath @MeBigbrain yeah it's one of those times where you realize that most people don't actually have opinions of their own, they just sort of float around with whatever society in general thinks is good even if it contradicts sometimes. this in particular really shows a lack of understanding WHY there are consent laws, just that there ARE consent laws and we're supposed to follow them because they are laws. but trans people are heccin valid or some shit so a kid doing it is just fine. baffles me.
