@susie @beardalaxy Simple64 seems to work well for Splentendo 64 games. Also RMG is pretty damn good. Bizhawk is supposed to work (haven't tried it for that yet,) and Ares supposedly has a 97% compatibility rating.

And of course Project64 is evil because of the malware they stuck in it... 😡

@AngryWraith @susie newest versions of p64 are fine, just not as good as the competition. A lot of people still use 1.6 for romhacks but parallel is taking over that area now

I know a lot of devs have complained because RA uses outdated builds sometimes and users will ask questions about why things aren't working which can start to get annoying.

I honestly just hate the UI and how it's set up. Individual emulators are much easier to use. If you really want a front end just grab launch box or use the steam rom manager.

@beardalaxy @susie Not a thing you've said is wrong. I have to deal with retarded things like ergonomics and user interfaces and logistics in my personal life and such and gosh damn retroarch makes me miss genecyst and nesticle. I have never seen anything do interface-incompetent and have wondered for years if a karen/pajeet hybrid from human resources thought this was a good idea with a power point presentation.
Every aspect of my professionalism in this screams at that UI. I actually get depressed thinking about it, and I am not even joking.

@AngryWraith @susie they were like "oh you know the PS3 menu that nobody likes? Let's copy that" and it became even more cluttered and awkward to use. Please just give me drop down menus in a normal ass program.

I don't like setting up all the individual cores and stuff too. Just a headache. They somehow took the fun out of emulation.
