Anybody else noticed how difficult it is to pirate some things lately?

For example Nintendo roms, or movies and stuff, of course it can be done but mainstream search engines won’t show you where to find it.

I spent hours the other day just trying to find unencrypted 3DS Pokémon roms
@asa did someone say roms? I have shit loads but probably not 3ds ones. Checking.
To unencrypt 3ds, you don't need unencrypted roms. You just need the hash file in the right directory. Retroarch will do the rest.
@Humpleupagus @Idoru I would like to get those hash files then. Is there a torrent that has them all or something?
Once you have the aes_keys, you should be able to run encrypted roms.

@Humpleupagus @Idoru @asa in addition to this, you're not going to have much luck looking for stuff on mainstream search engines unless you know some key terms.

yandex can be pretty good as far as search engines go for finding that kind of stuff.

but i will say that typically, torrenting is going to be your best bet. just stop by 1337x and search there.

archive.org isn't too bad either for a lot of consoles. just search "[platform] roms archive.org" and you'll find listings where you can download just one ROM from a megapack. doesn't really work for switch but pretty much everything else has redumps or no-intro collections of entire game libraries.

@Humpleupagus @Idoru @asa as far as movies go unless you have a super reputable place to go you should probably be torrenting those with a VPN or seedbox anyway. torrents are going to give you way less of an issue with viruses than "watchmoviefree.com" or whatever the fuck.
