You can tell the devs of Crime Boss: Rockay City have properly tested the winds because they are VERY SPECIFIC when they say you DO NOT need to install EOS to play their game period whatsoever and they will repeat this on the forums to correct any disagreements, so they know it is important to get right. They allow Steam online play perfectly without though you can link into EGS optionally.

@DrRyanSkelton i think that's the better way to do it. make it optional to install so that players can use crossplay if they want.
i miss the days where crossplay just worked and you didn't need to install epic shit to get it working. devs are getting lazier and lazier.
