ugh d&d beyond becomes more unusable by the day. i really, REALLY wish i wasn't playing 5e right now. they said they would make sure they kept legacy 5e stuff intact but that's not the case at all, so many things are being updated with the new rules which in some cases are completely different and it's causing a real headache when i have to tell my players "yeah just ignore what it says there."

i really wish i could just switch to a different system right now but that's not going to happen. not when 3/5 players have never played a tabletop game before this campaign. certainly wouldn't be fun to change rules in the middle of a campaign either.

I've been trying to burn down 5e in my group. We're running 5e for one game that's on going, mostly because there's no equivalent for our classes in that game. I'm not running that game so it's DM's choice, but the switch off Legacy is a nuisance.

Our other game where we tend to meet in person more often I'm running Kingmaker Pathfinder. It's refreshing to play a system that feels like it cares about the GM experience.

@Beefki yeah I'm probably going to switch to pathfinder eventually just so it helps my players out. Otherwise I'd probably go to shadow of the weird wizard or even demon lord because it would fit my next campaign really well. There just aren't really any online tools for them and it's already hard enough to get people to play, let alone want to do everything on paper.

I have not struggled to replicate most Classes from 5e in PF2e unless it's the obnoxiously broken ones like Twilight Cleric or the really weird ones like Echo Knight Fighter. Though I'd say the Artificer also doesn't have a great analog.

Overall I'm generally happier with PF2e. It feels better at all levels of play and the worst part is just adding bigger numbers. I've got the official FoundryVTT Kingmaker though so I'm pretty satisfied even if I find myself trying to remember rules
