@vaartis@VD15 my guess is mobile ports if any of it already existed. Most of it I think is probably getting ahead of the curve because several companies are looking into putting ads into their games right now, such as EA.
@beardalaxy@VD15 interesting. i've definetely never seen this on steam but maybe someone was actually doing it somehow. maybe it was indeed because of EA. oh well.
@vaartis@VD15 it's nice for players, but it's probably mainly that valve doesn't want companies sidestepping their 30% revenue cut. It's why you have to buy premium currency in games through steam too.
