I listened to a Nine Inch Nails album for the first time: The Downward Spiral. I can easily understand why it got the reputation that it had around the time. As for the songs, they're not my favorite type of music, but they weren't terribly made. Lots of effort was put into that downward spiral of an album. I am curious how Trent Reznor (the main guy) eventually ended up making soundtracks for films (including the upcoming Tron: Ares). I'll listen to more of NIN (I already got most of their discography), but I am still wondering about their best music in general.
