so when i have absence seizures i'll normally just keep doing the task i was already doing before but i kind of go auto-pilot mode. i have these all the time and it's why i can't drive.

just now, while making hotdogs, i had one and put ranch on one of them instead of ketchup 😭IT'S AWFUL!!

@beardalaxy@gameliberty.club you have someone nearby to help in case you do anything dangerous?

@RehnyNytes256 i grabbed the ranch probably because i make sandwiches with ranch, and my brain just defaulted to "oh he's making food that he's grabbing a condiment for, it must be ranch."

i even do this when i'm playing music sometimes, if i have an absence seizure in the middle of a song i'll just keep playing the song if i have practiced it enough. then i'll "come back" in a completely different part of the song and have to re-orient where i am based on what i'm currently playing xD

@RehnyNytes256 oh you mean if i'm actually doing something dangerous, not if i accidentally do something dangerous? i mean, the most dangerous thing i do probably is riding my scooter to work. don't have anyone near me for that. crashed once last year due to a seizure and something in the bike lane but thankfully it wasn't serious. but like, i gotta get to work somehow and i'd rather ride than pay money for uber or something. especially since it's not like car accidents don't exist either.

there is a certain amount of risk doing a lot of necessary things in life, just gotta take it all into account whenever you do something. the risk of me actually driving is too high, because i'm going very fast and instead of just fucking myself up if i'm on a scooter, i could fuck other people up if i'm in a car.
