it's shit like this that makes me wish nintendo didn't make games i really enjoy. it would be so much easier to just dump them completely then for their awful legal practices. it's partially why i wanted to get a switch 2 as early as possible... highest chance of an exploit.

The very act for paying for the hardware alone is giving Nintendo greater assent to keep doing these practices than if you withheld all financial funding.
You do not need the Switch 2.
