@groundbeefhunter yeah i wasn't a fan of doom eternal either. played a few hours of it and it didn't hit the same way 2016 did at all. i think there was too much platforming or something.
@beardalaxyFor me was the arena shooter aspect, i can't stand arena shooters. Sometimes it's fine to enter a area and all the doors close down and hundreds of enemies spawn, once or twice a level, but Doom Eternal was almost just that.
Also i hated the "No Child, you will not use this weapon against this enemy! It is incorrect. We laid down a correct strategy of engagement, and you will have to follow it, otherwise it is unoptimal, enjoy suffering". They couldn't create ways to engage the enemy in different ways, if a cacodemon shows up you HAVE to make it swallow a bomb and do a glory kill, if a arachnotron shows up then you HAVE to destroy the tail, if you don't then you will lose a lot of ammo or health, 0 alternative ways to engage.
