Especially a sex mod. The main developer of one absolutely refuses to ever upload it to anywhere but Discord and requires a (censored) photo of your ID to allow you in.
Absolute scumbag, I hope his mod gets uploaded all over the place.
Though the more important thing here is minecraft sex? Like, sex in minecraft? I'll be honest if I were to see that I would only be able to laugh at it. I have no idea how someone would make minecraft sex anything but funny.

@Iffine @Ronnie21093 teamspeak just had a new big update that brings it a bit more to modern times but it isn't "discord but not discord" it's its own thing entirely. You need to self host servers but you can join the main server and make groups. It's kind of wacky.
Also given how big of an issue child abuse is with discord and Minecraft I honestly can't blame someone wanting to cover the fuck out of their ass and require ID. Not that I agree with doing that but fuck man there are a lot of evil people out there. It really should fall on parents to watch their kids, but when parents aren't doing shit and haven't done shit forever, and with all this stuff becoming more common... Wtf do you do? Just say "oh man, thousands of kids getting groomed, that sucks, good thing I can still download my Minecraft sex mod?" using protecting children as an excuse to enact digital censorship and shit is extremely effective because it's a problem and if the problem isn't fixed then of course someone else is going to step in to fix it and you won't like how they do it.
Again, I hope his mod gets uploaded elsewhere. Hell, I hope it happens so often that he just quits.
This is why I'm giving Teamspeak shit. Their "big" update that was supposed to make it more feature complete than just using a basic VoIP client + IRC? No server files. I like being different from Discord but they can't even provide what people want of them that is different. I get it's currently a beta but that's their fault, don't release it if the main feature of the software isn't finished.
Really, the problem of child abuse I understand but the mod dev is just being an asshole. He knows just as well as I do that a kid could take their parents ID. Or if a groomer wanted to use the mod, he'd just grab it himself then redistribute.
The smart solution is placing the mod on a site that has a mature content barrier. That's it. It's no longer his problem at that point. This security theater is little more than him being an asshole who wants to pay discord money. Not that I'm dismissing your point or think you're wrong, just that I hate this man's actions in particular because he's basically running a data harvesting operation with a very flimsy excuse.
