Giving it a thought, Nintendo as a console maker is kinda bad. There's always some kind of retarded gimmick put there to sell the console but what actually sells it is the games they make which are way above the AAA trash other companies make.
@kerosene isnt this post 10 years late? which games these days? the new pokemon games are fugly garbage dei slop that lags so bad you measurably lose 10% of your playtime. people arent buying them because they're good. its a soy cult and they'll keep buying no matter how much nintendo fucks everyone by suing fangames, emulators and indies

@smugumin @kerosene DK bananza is the most fun I've had in a video game in a long time. Pokémon isn't actually developed by Nintendo it's just partially owned by them. Mario Kart World is alright but it could have been much better. Even tears of the kingdom which has so many problems is still a really good game. I think certain indies will be better than Nintendo games but honestly, in the AAA space not a lot of other companies come close. That's a pretty low bar to surpass though haha.
