My mom's fren said she might have a Dreamcast but it turned out to be a PS One! I didn't know this was a thing. I always remember the actual PlayStation as being grey and long. I'm still happy to rescue it. I hope she eventually comes across a Dreamcast. 
(She gets gifted a lot of stuff from rich people) An NTSC-U Dreamcast model is nearing $200 now!

I can see why they both thought it might be a Dreamcast. I showed them a picture of one this past weekend in case they ever see one while thrifting. The condition is pristine externally but I'm away for a few days and can't test it. It belonged to a kid from a well off family but he spent most time studying and couldn't play it much.
