Do I have the most shit taste on fedi? It's like everything I like is heavily unpopular here.

@koimata the two biggest ones are Nintendo and Windows lmao.
If we can get a little meta, I like mastodon's front-end way more than pleroma's. Soapbox is pretty dang good though too.
Not a whole lot of people into furries at all.
Most recently it is silent hill f, but lots of other games too I'm sure. I don't think many people in general think DmC is the best devil may cry xD
I think two other people than me have even played phantasy star online 2 new genesis, let alone enjoyed it as much as I do.

It's OK though I'm not complaining or anything I just think it's kind of funny.

@beardalaxy you opened Pandora's box lol

I like talking about OSes in general, not just a specific one, while I Primarily use Linux I do use Windows, 7 was best and I grew up with 3.11, I can talk about that all day lol. And while o complain about Ninty at times I still have a Switch 1 and play Sploon.

Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like Pleroma's frontend, it feels kinda cobbled together. Masto feels "professional" but way too limited. *Key feels fun but can be overwhelming. Mitra and Soapbox/Mangrove is a nice compromise

You're talking to one fam lol. I had to make two accounts just so I could keep my furry stuff on one and my main on another, maybe it'll help for you to branch out more?

As for games, I like playing retro games, but I occasionally play newer stuff, but most of my focus on is indie games

Anyway, I'm always free to talk about pretty much anything, as long as it's chill ;)

@koimata oh i don't care about branching out lol i don't think i'm really the one that needs to do the branching xD

the only real issue i have with mastodon is how convoluted it is to do mod stuff. i also have a stylus theme to make it look a little bit more pleasing, which is going in the opposite direction of what pleroma looks like to me xD what i don't like about pleroma is that you can't click on a post to expand it to the discussion view, it is a little icon you have to click instead and it doesn't open to a separate page. just a matter of preference but i wish it had that functionality too. i do like how you can add your own backgrounds and stuff though that's pretty cool. what i really would like is a front end that makes it so you can have a song play on your profile lol, like the old myspace days.

i'm running windows 11 and it is almost exactly the same thing as my windows 10 experience after doing a few tweaks. i've had nothing but trouble with linux, unfortunately. i do still like linux from what i've used of it, but for every day use and stability windows is still amazing.

as far as nintendo goes, i fucking hate their legal stuff and they make some really wack choices with things like pricing and what they are producing, but they make great games that are free from bullshit so i'll keep buying them.

@beardalaxy @koimata > i'm running windows 11 and it is almost exactly the same thing as my windows 10 experience after doing a few tweaks.

it gives off a bad first impression. maybe it gets the worst reputation from people like me who main Linux and don’t use Windows enough to bother with all the tweaks to make it bearable.

@pettanko @koimata i downloaded winutil and explorer patcher and bada bing bada boom, everything i need right there.

windows 11 by default does suck booty cheeks for sure. but for a community so focused on being able to tweak their OS however they want, a lot of linux users seem EXTREMELY averse to even believing that the same thing can be done on Windows. i routinely forget windows 11 is even a thing until i look at someone else's computer who is running it lol.

@beardalaxy @koimata Like I said I don't use Windows enough to really care, I haven't even changed the wallpaper lol

@beardalaxy i'm not familiar on how Mastodon does moderation stuff. Stylus theme? I like that one orange thing that Vivaldi uses. Also, my main gripe with Mastinion are the user's hivemind mentality and the devs that refuse to take other features that other fedi software implemented. I feel like Pleroma's frontend was cobbled together.

I primarily use Windows 11 for gaming, but I had to do a lot of neutering so that I could use it efficiently. Also, it doesn't matter what machine I use, for some reason it loves to ramp up my fans to 100.

Also, I agree with you on Nintendo. I only play the first party games, everything else I do on Steam. Which is why I'm not in a rush to buy a Switch 2.
