This might sound crazy, but I'm much more likely to die from an illegal immigrant than a police officer because, oh, I don't know.... I don't act like a retard around cops? Plus he misses the point entirely that it isn't just about getting killed by them, it's all types of violence, it's rape, it's drug trafficking, and it's even less serious but still highly concerning things like them affecting the housing market and being unnecessary baggage on government programs. This is kind of why the whole "we are only targeting the worst of the criminals" is extremely bad messaging. They need to just go scorched earth and actually enforce the law. If they don't want to enforce it fully, then change it.
