Nowadays you can see the absolute consequences of that stuff. Extreme censorship, so you lose out on something that actually used to be like that. And even worse, SJW-like designs that appeals to no one, so there's an actual slippery slope that can demonstrably be slipped on
In the end, who cares about said respectability when it can get this fucking worse. There's nobody "good" at all on that side anyways, you'll get praised by absolutely nobody good whatsoever

Some dudes just never got over trying to LOOK cool instead of actually just being chill and those are the guys who have all these complexes that end up biting them in the ass later.
