wtf HOW could they not get this game running 60fps locked on switch 2...they better try harder with 2 and 3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_36vfLfMnkk
Apparently Xenoblade X switch 2 upgrade is...ok? in docked mode but really shit on handheld which tbh idgaf about handheld. Definitely not super competent.
Also it's a shame you won't be able to apply a decensor patch until switch 2 hacking becomes a thing.
I wish Nintendo still had dedicated handheld and home consoles, I feel like the Switch hybrid design is the worst of both worlds. You get a weaker performing home console and a big not-so-portable tablet thing with poor battery life. I miss when Nintendo was at least trying to innovate or play around with new/unique ideas. The 2000's was really cool between the weird ass Wiimote/Nunchuck motion controls on Wii and the touch screen DS games. Nowadays all the consoles do pretty much the same shit. I guess Nintendo's joycons do have some motion and mouse type functionality but Idk if that many games utilize it. 🤷🏻‍♂️
GBA and GameCube were peak portable and power combo.
Yeah GBA was great, it was like getting new SNES games in the 2000's. The GBA SP design was super sick. 🔥
Plus they had all that weird shit where you could plug in a GBA and use it as a controller on some games. Idk if there were any others besides Zelda Four Swords, but I remember trying this out with my cousin and it was interesting. They just don't have any weird/fun creative shit anymore.

Wind Waker had the Tingle Tuner, which was essentially a glorified cheat code engine, if you had enough rubees for the various cheats. All the Pokémon stuff on the Gamecube could interact with all the Pokémon stuff on the GBA. Animal Crossing was one of the rare games that had interaction with the e-Reader system and had multiple uses for the GC-GBA link. If you had Metroid Prime and Fusion, you could play the original Metroid. Sonic Adventure & 2 Battle allowed you to transfer Chao to the Chao gardens in Sonic Advance 1 & 2.

Those are the big ones I can think of. Unfortunately, many of the other games that used the link used it as a glorified minimap or a proto-DLC dispenser instead of something more cool like what Nintendo and Sega did. By the time you get to the late stage of the Gamecube's life, it seemed like everyone and Nintendo abandoned it.

@SuperSnekFriend @grizzlywhisker @FeelsOttoMan @LittleTom animal crossing also let you design patterns on it and then put them on the GameCube.

Gba link was necessary for crystal chronicles multiplayer in the same way it was for fsa.

You could also use it for this Pac-Man game where all the ghosts were on the GBAs and pacman was on the TV. Kind of fun.

I remember hearing the pacman game was really fun. Totally forgot about it.
