i know it's easier to make and everything but i seriously hate it when i see 3D in anime. there is always a massive difference in how it looks compared to the 2D animation and it completely destroys any immersion i had.
@SuperDicq it's one thing when it's like, very purposefully put there in an artistic manner and actually done well. i highly prefer strictly 2D animation but it isn't the worst thing in the world.
the thing that prompted this mini rant though was my roommate showing me the chainsaw man season 2 teaser. at the timestamp (1:08) it just looks so awful. like this is what an anime video game would look like on the ps2.
@beardalaxy@gameliberty.club I can tell when 3D CGI is used, but it's not distracting to me. If 3D wasn't used, there would be some low-quality in-between frames put in there, which would get memed on anyway.
I would like to see more 3D creations. 3D is currently used for either Pixar kids movies or relegated to special effects. I would like more Kemono Friends, Etotama (halfway counts), and gdgd Fairies.
