Just trying to stay positive while I wait to land something IRL.
BTW this Thursday I'll be taking a couple of comms to help out with rent.
I've realized that even if I land something IRL I'll most likely still take a couple of comms until the end of the year.
I wanted to save up for a new PC. My current rig is showing it age... x _x
@Lewdtime Sometimes you can replace just one or two parts in your current PC and it save you both money and the trouble of starting from scratch.
If you want to start new, (I know it's not always possible but) I recommend staying away from Windows as they have become bloated and RAM-hungry.
Current RAM prices are miserable right now, but the truth is, most people don't need 32 GB, or heck even 16 GB. For Windows especially, the problem is all the bloatware.
@Lewdtime @Huburt_Pewder what are your current pc specs? You could buy worse ones for cheaper to put in there and carry over your better stuff to your new rig. Almost definitely want to do that with the ram, and if it is ddr4 that pretty much solves which mobo and cpu you're going to get so you're just left with a gpu to figure out.
Also I would advise against giving Linux to normies. Just run WinUtil and debloat. Otherwise you're going to be helping them troubleshoot stuff more often than you'd probably like.
@mitchconner @Huburt_Pewder @Lewdtime that's awesome, but i've had linux completely shit the bed on me because i didn't update it for too long. ymmv.
