what's with all these people that are so fucking upset that ocarina of time remake has a quest log because "i beat it when i was 8 years old and i never used a guide once." i call BULLSHIT dude. even if that is true, there is something else going on there. they had to ask a friend for help getting through some part, or their dad. maybe it was the only game they had and they just no-lifed it, eventually coming to the solution after playing for hundreds of hours.
it is the least egregious way possible to implement this kind of thing too, as far as i can tell there aren't quest markers it just gives you a little summary on what you've already done and where you should go next. it's basically turning navi's interjection hints into a neat menu.
i think this is people lying to make themselves seem like more professional gamers that are better than the rest of the dumb, retarded gamers out there that need dumb things like guides so they can beat games. there's no way a real gamer has gone their whole life without using a guide, i'm sorry there just isn't. we've all used them at some point.

I had to check a guide for the Stone Temple at some point though, what a fucking nightmare it is. But I figured out just about like 80-90% of the masks by pure dumb luck
Now let me tell you, The Banjo-Kazooie end of game quiz without understanding it at all, that was a fucking shitshow
Majora's Mask I ended up having to consult buying a prima strategy guide to beat. I got stumped on the ice temple. Banjo Kazooie wasn't too bad. Tooie however bored me to tears and the FPS mechanics in that game aged like milk.
Mind you this was on the HD XBLA remaster of the game. I heard the N64 version had severe frame rate issue.
@ooignignoktoo @coolboymew @pettanko I think the first game I actually beat was Pokémon emerald, had a physical strategy guide for that. Had to use it for the Regis. How else would anyone ever be able to do that shit? xD
2nd one I got for free from a family friend it didn't work and I had to tear it apart and fix it and got it working again for fairly cheap.
@ooignignoktoo @coolboymew @pettanko i've still got my original SP and emerald copy, which is in shockingly good condition other than the battery being dry. i'm not particularly attached to it so i'll sell it in a pinch, but not really until i've got a reason to. it'd be nice to give to my niece one day or something i suppose. her parents are major pokemon fans so she'll probably be into it lol.
