@TeaTootler @Hoss overpriced? Nah, not for the performance you get. Maybe for the flexibility though.
It's hard to blame them when a large amount of the best gaming consoles were in fact NOT just the same architecture as a regular personal computer, though. Part of the reason why Xbox has much better backwards compatibility since it's always been like that. But PS was doing wacky custom shit like Emotion and Cell while Nintendo was just strapping more power pc GameCubes together every time they released a new console.
