@LordMordred This is like Richard Dawkins saying he's "culturally Christian" and doesn't want churches to disappear from Britain, but doesn't go to Chruch and relentlessly attacked Christianity for decades so others won't go as well.

You can't have your cake and eat it too.
The drug addict will affect society negatively, there's no way around that.
You either discourage vice, or permit it.
There is no in-between.
And unless you're a hermit, there is no atomized individual either.
