I feel like Final Fantasy is aging poorly as a franchise, in a way that reminds me of Hideo Kojima, and Peter Molineux.
FF's world building and designs worked much better with simpler graphics and and other technological constraints blurring the creator's intent.

Moogles, Cait Sith, Red's voice switch in FF7 Rebirth, and other cute & cringy stuff, is akin to Wheaton dialogue in action movies, where characters don't take their circumstances seriously, except it's the whole world that doesn't seem to care.

The more it's refined, the clearer the flaws become.

@coded_artist well i mean it was called "final" fantasy because it was supposed to be the designers last game. making twelve more is definitely aging poorly :gutkato_paneas:
