no matter which index you use, Ukraine is listed as one of the most corrupt countries in the world and the most corrupt country in Europe.

@Terry If memory serves, this was one of the main reasons they were not allowed into NATO.

Soon as this war is over they're probably getting in immediately.

Can't fucking wait.
@Deplorable_Degenerate @coded_artist Russia has repeatedly said they're not going to let that happen
If Russia runs out of steam they won't have a say in it.

If. They might take Ukraine because even with Western support Ukraine will probably break first.

But I think this will eventually end in stalemate and Russia takes whatever they occupy.
@Deplorable_Degenerate @coded_artist ok..Russia is not running out of steam. The Ukrainians will run out of soldiers before Russia does.
You say that like half the soldiers fighting for Ukraine are Ukranian.
@Deplorable_Degenerate @coded_artist foreign mercs only make up a few thousand maybe around 10,000 or so if we include the beaners
Where do you get these estimates and numbers?

Because I get mine from my gut instinct.
@Deplorable_Degenerate @coded_artist I've seen multiple studies from both pro Russian and pro Ukrainian sources that put the number of foreign mercs in Ukraine in the thousands to the low tens of thousands.

The total size of the Ukrainian army varies depending on who you ask, I've seen estimates that range anywhere between 500,000 to over 1,000,000.

This means that your "gut instinct" is telling you at low end there is about 250,000 foreign mercenaries fighting for Ukraine and at the higher end over half a million.. which would be fucking insane.

I think you need your gut checked out. You might want to look into probiotics.
@Terry @Deplorable_Degenerate @coded_artist after nearly 4 years I'm sure the word has gotten out to even the densest war tourists that 1) ukraine is a far cry from a little brush fire war and 2) ukraine sees foreigners as extremely expendable
@deprecated_ii @Deplorable_Degenerate @coded_artist I check the track-a-merc telegram channel from time to time and although relatively recently there's been a lot of beaners, you don't seem a lot of White guys except for some Eastern European ones.

A lot of guys from western Europe/ US and Canada go there for a few months and then leave and never come back. Almost like once they actually got sent to the front and got a taste of what this "Safari" was really like they all turn tailed and left.
@Terry @deprecated_ii @Deplorable_Degenerate @coded_artist I think you had either linked or posted the story about mercs who left and said that while they could handle combat they just could not do the drones. Just never a moments peace anywhere near the front and absolutely no control over when their card was going to be "punched".
@EvilSandmich @Terry @Deplorable_Degenerate @coded_artist I said early in the war that people with combat experience elsewhere were going to be totally mindfucked in ukraine because it was such a different thing. it's not that ukraine is actually that crazy compared with other wars, it's just a case of expectations and mindset

like when I was in iraq I was in a city and did *all* of my fighting there. I talked to vets from vietnam or korea and they said they thought we were fuckin crazy for doing so much urban fighting. I said I preferred that to worrying about getting my ass blown off by artillery

I figure you get used to the threats around you and they become mundane. but if someone's mind is already set from past experience, they have a lot more trouble adjusting than a green soldier without preconceived notions of war does
That's bad given any Iraq or Afghan war vets had to deal with child suicide bombers.
@Terry @deprecated_ii @Deplorable_Degenerate @coded_artist My guess is they're in with or trying to get in with cartels. They want experience fighting in a war to get hired up.
@JustJohnny @deprecated_ii @Deplorable_Degenerate @coded_artist Probably transferring small arms to the cartels in exchange for soldiers
@Terry @deprecated_ii @Deplorable_Degenerate @coded_artist I honestly think it's just manpower and training, not sure how they'd smuggle arms themselves. They probably get guns by other means.
Okay, but mercenaries can be a broad term. I think there are actual NATO soldiers on the ground and they're lying about how many.
@Deplorable_Degenerate @coded_artist a half million NATO soldiers on the ground in Ukraine would get noticed
Doesn't have to be that many but I think it is sizeable and clandestine. Who is looking at the Ukie border with Poland? The Poles and Ukranians?

Russians have already mentioned killing a lot of guys that have a remarkable grasp of English.
@Deplorable_Degenerate @coded_artist I know I use the term "Merc" loosely but theres a difference between a "foreign volunteer" or a "merc" and an actual fucking active duty NATO soldier on the ground in Ukraine.
@Deplorable_Degenerate @coded_artist @Terry

> Implying Russia runs out of resources anytime
< Especially when the psychotic Soviet maths have been abolished
> Implying there will be a stalemate

Russia is winning at snails pace. It fits with everything they have said they wanna do. One of the things is taking all Western equipment they can find in Ukraine and ground it to dust.
Patience is a resource too. It is really the Ukranian's only hope...

... but the myth of infinite Soviet manpower and material is hyperbole. The Germans would have beaten them at severe cost if it wasn't for American interference.
@Deplorable_Degenerate @coded_artist @Terry Or the soviets crapping out arms at a breakneck pace Germany couldn't cope with. This was the actual main factor that caused Germany's defeat.

The logistics of Barbarossa was fucked to begin with. Now imagine the severe Stress the German industrial base was under due to bombardments and lack of resources and you can see more easily how the Wehrmacht had so much trouble with the eastern front. Seeing the pace of the current war, I think it would have just have taken the Soviets like forever without Allied help.
>due to bombardments

Bombardments from who?

>I think it would have just have taken the Soviets like forever without Allied help

This is a fair take, all of this is just speculation at the end of the day.

I did specify American, but if the British are still in I think the Soviets win slowly.

But if we're talking about a scenario where they manage to come to peace terms with the British or avoid a war with them altogether I think the Soviets lose
@Deplorable_Degenerate @coded_artist @Terry
> Bombardments from who?
Professor Herschel Layton?

The fucking RAF of course!

@JulioReich @Terry @Deplorable_Degenerate NATO's entire purpose is to make the eastern block submit to jewish bankers.
That's why China will side with Russia if matters escalate.
If Russia falls, China is next.

It was kind of toyed with, even speculated it would happen for a while.

They have some stupid "Partnership for Peace" thing that acts as sort of a first step for a country joining and Russia was a member. Several of the neutral and former Warsaw pact countries that have joined started through it.
