Picked up Palworld again after like 2 years. It's still the same janky early access game that it was when it came out but with some new content added. Overall still a fun game especially if you can get some friends to play with you. All things considered, I'd give it a 7.5/10. Still needs some work before I would put it in great tier, but pokémon with slavery and guns is enjoyable if not a bit of a novel experience.
I think the team, like most games built with Unreal Engine, have their legs chopped off by Unreal Engine.

My kids still love the game though

@tyler @Fullmetal2255 It's not just the engine, it's the technical debt.
Only their lead dev worked with Unreal before, and convinced the team to switch to it.
So the rest of the team, the younger devs with a background in Unity, had to learn Unreal, that has a notoriously difficult learning curve.
