I wish US citizens had more freedom and fairness with regards to governance.

- I hate that we use First Past the Post voting, leaving us with two shitty and corrupt parties. I wish we mandated a Ranked Choice Voting system instead.
- I hate that Federal rights trump states rights even in cases where the issue in question isn't a right granted by the constitution, and isn't a power explicitly given to the federal government by the constitution
- I hate that gerrymandering and other anti-democratic practices are legal. We should generate districts by a fair algorithm vetted by data scientists to be as representative as feasible.
- I hate that a population needs a state's consent to break off and form their own state. They should only require the consent of the large majority (either 2/3 or 3/4) of a sufficiently large and spread-out population.
- I hate that despite the 4th, 5th, and 6th amendments, we still have spy agencies "legally" snooping in on our affairs. I hate that using a 3rd party service like GMail is supposed to invalidate your protection from unreasonable search and seizure. We need an explicit right to privacy, and while we're on the reform bandwagon, we need explicit and exclusive ownership of our personal data, a right to know who is using it and for what, and a right to deny or revoke the right to such use.
