Having a server on the internet with loli is not a strong case on itself to bring onto yourself the attention of the feds. Period. They have stuff more important to investigate than the stash of publicly available naked drawn girls that some weeb could have on the internet.

@hideki I have never seen someone who is not very likely a mentally ill person talking about reporting servers because of loli to the police...

@deadheat and even then, even if the server owners or the feds do investigate the contents of the server, loli is just not an enough case to get anyone jailed, in any decent enough country anyways. If you know that loli is a hot topic in your country and you make the mistake of having your data on your server in your country, then that's another problem.

But then again, knowing the liability when using the internet if you are in a bad country is half of your duty.

@hideki How is Mexico when it comes to internet freedom, btw? Are there Mexicans being arrested for hate crimes because of Twitter posts or stuff like that?

@deadheat no as of now i haven't heard of anyone being jailed for internet-related stuff that isn't pedophilia rings or anything like that, i doubt that even the government actually knows what the "deep web" is or anything like that. I would say Mexico has higher caliber problems to tackle first before moving onto jailing someone for not saying the correct pronouns of someone online yet.

@hideki > I would say Mexico has higher caliber problems to tackle first

And so does Brazil, but our Supreme Court decided it's extremely important to arrest people, take their cell phones and computers, and drag them to court for "fake news" on the internet, with no evidence whatsoever of any actual criminal act being done.

It's just an "investigation", they can't keep people in prison when they don't have commited any crime, but they can make the police harrass the insolent peasants to teach them some manners.

@deadheat that's so shitty, it's the problem of a lot of countries and their quasi totalitarian governments trying to police what it's said on the internet, not because you say anything illegal, but because they can't handle the bad stuff they talk about them.

@hideki The entire left wing including corporate journalists call Bolsonaro Hitler and make false accusations every day against him and his supporters, they say that's democracy, but if people criticize the Supreme Court, which has all but one judges picked by the previous government of the Workers' Party, and overstep their boundaries with their every move to push their agenda, then you are the threat against the institutions and democracy.

I wish Bolsonaro actually were authoritarian and sent the military to shut down this illegitimate court
