I have spent about half an hour looking at real moss today. Now materials are a bit better, but particle distribution, orientation and clumping still need more work.

@Ghlighte looking good so far. Are you using an object as hair particle or just the standard hair system?

@hideki it's a low-poly object, 352 quads. Given that there's about 300k of them in the scene, I should reduce that to 100-150.

@hideki yeah, I saw that. I tried to pull that off, but these tricks probably work better for backgrounds and animations, not for the focus of a still image. I'll try to use the same technique for the background plane.
