it hurts to have a computer that struggls to play 1080p, almost all new anime comes like that.
@person i guess i could try, the funny thing is that i have an OLDER (desktop) computer at work and that one can play the videos just fine.

The funny thing is: The laptop can run Blender but struggles with 1080p video. My work desktop cannot run Blender but plays 1080p videos just fine.
@hideki have you tried gpu decoding for video?
@newt is software decoding a default standard for all media player software? I barely mess with the default settings of any media player.

Even my laptop plays 1080p, it's 9 years old. Can you use something like ffmpeg to downgrade it to 720p or 480p?
