Every NFTer explanation i've read on how NFT's are not the stupidest thing ever sound nothing more but like a massive cope.

@hideki The underlying concept makes sense to me because right now, there's simply no overarching structure for handling and exchanging digital possessions. I don't care much for the current jpg NFTs beyond enjoying the spectacle, you can think of them simply as a proof of concept for things to come. As for adoption, it will come down to whether companies see any value in providing their services as NFTs, and that will depend on customer behavior who I believe would gradually gravitate towards services that allow them to monetize their participation along the way, leaving "stingy" businesses behind.

That all said, I don't know if it all has to be blockchain.

@LucoaMilkers I would need to see a practical use of this technology to be convinced of it's usefulness for me as a consumer. For starters, the very concept of "digital possesions" makes not much sense at least to me.

@hideki I can imagine things like usernames, game items, coupons, ad spots, membership tokens

@LucoaMilkers mind you, things that you can actually USE and not just some lousy jaypeg.
