@hideki kinda surprised that nft bros didn't chime in, but that's probably because most of them are dead by now

@Inginsub they don't have enough money to pay the internet now

@hideki again with the retardation that "copying = stealing" and "physical theft = copying a file"

I can't even count the amount of times I've seen on the insert of a disc, some band saying "thank you for listening, even if you stole/downloaded/didn't pay for it" and more artists want to have their work seen and appreciated than simply maximize profits.

They also know that reposts with credit is just free publicity, even without credit.

@hideki They're just so close to realizing the fundamental difference between physical works and infinitely replicable ideas (symbolically represented by numbers)...

@hideki@gameliberty.club making a copy != stealing; stealing requires deprivation. stealing art, in this case, would mean that you were to take that art from someone leaving them without. in the terrible example of the mona lisa, if one were to take the mona lisa, then yes, it would be stealing (assuming it being taken wasn't consensual). you now have the mona lisa, there is only one of it, and whoever had it prior no longer has it and this happened against their will. a better example would be that one had the ability to make a carbon copy of the mona lisa an infinite amount of times essentially for free. they now have a copy of the mona lisa, and whoever had it before also retains their copy of the mona lisa. nobody has been deprived of anything, and no stealing has occured.

@hideki I really wouldn't call that "stealing" since you're not using it for your own profit. You're just reposting. But yeah, giving credit to the artist doesn't hurt.

@hideki everyone in this thread is retarded. the mona lisa nigger especially. mona lisa is the perfect example of a fuckin repost without value or og poster lost.
