@robcolbert I feel a 40mb limit on video is really really small. I think a 150mb limit would be better - also I think a higher limit for pro users who support the site would be a cool idea.

@DB at launch and since video is new again at Gab, video uploading will be a pro-only feature and we'll be starting at 50MB to measure costs and learn.

This is (to us) an entirely new system and we aren't using it unmodified. We need to run it on one million users' data at scale before we open something like a 150MB per post video floodgate and blow something up.

That would be bad.

They said that, but I think they are just updating the streaming server to newer version of NodeJS.
