@igeljaeger honestly i agree with your assessment of both groups, and antifa makes me wanna throw up. They attack people with crowbars, attack people with bats and fist, then cry foul over words or any fighting back, while being basically pampered by the media to profit of their imagined sick money grubbing "wokeness". I can recommend "Manufacturing Consent" there is a book and a documentary, both good, both cover mostly the whole point. It applies to all ideologies, just a simple observation about propaganda and media control of democracy. He started out as a linguist, thats why he did that work. Hes famously hated for writing an oped that was used as an introduction to a holocaust denial book written by a french man, he supported his use of it and his right to release the book.

@a7 @igeljaeger have you considered that one reason why it comes out of the blue mentally is precisely the identification of freedom and libertarianism with capitalist ideology (promulgated through school, church, MSM and work) rather than truly libertarian ideology? If anything, the mental disconnect forces people to think, and it leads to discussions like "hey, isn't that an oxymoron?"; it's a way for socialism to get its foot in the door and explain that the real oxymoron is right-libertarianism.

You're setting yourself up for absurd mental contortions if you get too hung up on whether something can be appropriately labeled "real $x" or who gets to self-apply a term. They want to implement communism, they call themselves communists. You can disagree with them or agree with them, but no true Scotsman would do a terminology argument.

That's what they try to call themselves but there's no movement to be made when acting like this, instead of taking advantage of the freedom that they get to have dialogue and convince people to join them against those above they would rather fight the average joe for wearing a trump hat or a journalist.
It's all because of this stupid mess trying to merge identity politics with some kind of revolution when it's just not possible, you can't have sectarianism in this, worst of all in a place like the United States.
It's like they haven't learned anything from the failures of the past anarchist and communist movements that failed to build anything that lasted because in part they were just enforced by an elite minority that seized power, you just descend into authoritarianism when they doing this, it's madness.
