I didn't even notice. Why isn't this instance blocked from MasSoc, only my account is, but waifuappreciation.club and catgirl.life are blocked and not even for loli. :gargamel:

since when the fuck is loli illegal in germany?
Follow

@wowaname
I think it's printing magazines, hosting websites and stuff like that.
@igeljaeger

@matrix @wowaname so I have to add a 'no loli' rule to my instance because of the law too? Kill me

@igeljaeger
Probably. What I don't know is if embeddeding loli like Pleroma does counts as spreading.
With Mastodon it's a bit more obvious because Mastodon saves remote media and then serves it.
@wowaname

@igeljaeger @wowaname
You gotta find what the law means by distribution. My German is really shit.

@matrix @wowaname as far as german law goes, they only care what's "visible" on my "website". So they can sue me even for shit other instances post. Id be fucked no matter what tbh
@igeljaeger @matrix make your instance private, probably the best call
@wowaname @matrix but that doesnt stop people from seeing my federated timeline. Or can I disable that for people who arent logged in?
@igeljaeger @matrix thats exactly what "making your instance private" means
@wowaname @matrix I kinda just wanna have them open until something bad happens. Maybe Im developing some weird kink
@wowaname @matrix wait I think it was just the posts that were already there when I was logged in. Can you see posts? It's just doing the 'error fetching updates' now when Im not logged in
@igeljaeger @matrix yeah "error fetching updates" is what you should get lol
@wowaname @matrix how can I link to my rules in pleromafe (like it's being displayed on the registration page). I remember seeing it once or twice on on some pleroma instances
@igeljaeger @matrix ideally use instance/static/instance/panel.html because it isnt tracked by git
@igeljaeger @matrix open your shit in a new browser fam, if you hide the instance-specific panel in settings then of course you wont see it
@wowaname @matrix thanks to this public option I removed now all the instances that were in my 'remove from federated timeline' policy. The only reason they were in there was my paranoia that a growing agent might see their posts without having to log in :diaSweat:

@igeljaeger
Wait? Are you seriously serving your website from your own IP without even attempting to hide it? I'm surprised nobody has called the cops on you.
@wowaname

@matrix @igeljaeger the people on here who would report him are too retarded to know that it's an option. theyre too obsessed with blocking and forming mobs
@wowaname @matrix the IP goes to my ISP so theyd have to get a lawyer, contact my ISP, convince them to give out my address, and then they could sue me. Prob not worth the money lol
@igeljaeger @matrix yeah true theyre all too poor to follow through with anything, thats why they hate cops because muh upper class
@matrix @igeljaeger im surprised i havent gotten one abuse email forwarded to me from any of my providers in years now
@matrix @igeljaeger In America⢠the laws on distribution exempt platforms from being liable for user-generated content, assuming the platforms dont obstruct justice upon the offending users
@wowaname @matrix EU law basically cucked everyone, so if you host a social media website it's your responsibility to remove 'hate speech' within 24 hours or you get fined. Im not sure though if this only counts for big platforms like facebook. Would be pretty hilarious to receive a million euro fine for a post from another instance haha... ha
