@matrix this pic is the only one of this specific meme i have, but both of these memes display an important truth. letting cops be the only ones to have guns is a mistake
@wowaname @matrix my favorite thing is that capitalism apologists love to lean on human nature, which we can't seem to get a solid definition for, only theories. maybe i'm just oriented differently in ideals to be like "yeah capitalism can be good" without it sounding like a blatant lie, but then again [i harp on about west virginia history and the results, which we can surmise by statistics alone, are shit, for over 9000 characters], it's a bit of a perspective thing, and the fact that marxist ideology has managed to balkanize itself into a truly stupefying family of ideology
@thinkpad @matrix well, capitalism was born out of our tendency to trade so i can see where the "it's natural" argument comes into play. it definitely wasnt forced
@wowaname @matrix likewise, humans have some kind of insistence on sharing and caring essentially, so by this logic, communism isn't forced per se. maybe what i'm grasping for ideologically is more along the lines of mutualism? syndicalism? idk but there's no way you can convince me that there isn't a part of human nature that craves order of some kind.

marxism is, however, an entire artifice, and marx is essentially a "we live in a society" meme poster but all the memes are ridiculously lengthy, detailed shitposts, and oddly specific to industrialized england
@thinkpad @matrix people seem to believe that life is either 100% capitalism or 100% communism, maybe thats the problem. you can have charity in a free market economy

furthermore i urge anyone participating in this discussion to remember that capitalism is separate from corporatism and consumerism, both of which are harmful practices and need to die
