yeah, but really I don't want Hollywood touching the games & expanded universe. Keep their tainted hands off the good stuff. I just wish what they DO have wasn't garbage.

The whole revisionist crap is also very "Disney". I don't think it's solely ignorance. I think they don't want people to know of the better stuff that came before. They're trying to do revisionist crap with Disney+ streamed movies, so I don't trust them.

The source stories were always better then the Disney version, even when Disney himself was running the show.

@RehnSturm256 @benisnotreal @matrix Oh, Disney's absolute malice is self evident. I figured everyone here accepted that. But Harrison Ford had to be in at least one of the new films. Same for the rest of the original characters. So some retconning/rebooting was inevitable.

@RehnSturm256 @matrix They had no choice but to decanonize the EU. Even if they had done an adaptation of the Thrawn trilogy they would have had to revise it to account for the 25-30 year time skip. The error was letting a hack like Abrams have input on the plot. One look at the start and finish of Lost should have been enough to establish his inability to create a quality story arc for the most significant franchise revival ever.
