I found a keyboard in the garage and it was at the time super expensive, bit i got it at the thrift store for a few bucks. it's bluetooth too. only problem is that the screen on it requires windows to say more than what it is
this keyboard has a mushy feel but it's also a decent keyboard. it feels like cusions under my fingers lol
I do like tho that if you have the feet popped out you can just reach under it and flip the switch easily.
This keyboard was made at a time where logitech didn't care about battery life. this thing has leds and an LCD and it takes 4 AA batteries.
@cowanon @cozy zi think mech keyboards are a meme. you can get keyboards that are plenty good enough that are rubbe dome
@cowanon @cozy You haven't tried a good rubber dome. also rubber domes tend to be better on the fingers since you don't have to hit down on plastic
@Jessica @cowanon @cozy rubber domes are good but so are buckling springs, dont have to hit on plastic for buckling springs

the real thing to avoid is chiclet
@wowaname @cowanon @cozy idk I know people who have had to switch to chicklet because of RSI https://youtu.be/3DR9fAQuOK8
He uses chicklet because it's better on his fingers. You have to push them less, meaning you don't have to excert as much force to get the key pressed down.
@Jessica @cowanon @cozy yeah i know some people need chiclet for similar reasons like i remember @matrix talking about it, but it doesnt change the fact that most chiclets feel like fucking paper to anyone who actually is used to more key travel

Yeah. Chicklets are nice, because they don't require that much force, but they are extremely fragile and definitely not for everyone. I understand the need for physical feedback. It's why I hate writing on touch screens even though it would be easier for me. I don't understand people who use tablets.
My mom who learned to type on a typewriter still absolutely mashes her notebook when typing.
