@hj @matrix what fixes?

@mewmew @matrix when emoji picker was initially released it didn't account for people being batshit insane and having 10000 emojis on server - it tried to render all 10000 at once. Well, it takes around 2ms for vue to render like 10 emoji or so....

do you have any idea how to MULTIPLY?

@hj @mewmew These are all emojis, local and remote

@matrix @mewmew remote emojis?

@hj @matrix Mastodon tracks all remote emojis it knows about :blobcatthinksmart:

@mewmew @matrix a surveillance camera?

@hj @mewmew Yes

@matrix @mewmew pointless questions?

@hj @mewmew Yes

@matrix @mewmew just call me if you run out of powder that makes you say yes

@hj @mewmew Yes

@mewmew @hj @matrix Oh boy That explains why loading emojis on the Masto instance I used to be always took so long and almost crashed the whole thing

@Feuerfuchs @matrix @hj but it only shows the local ones in the emoji picker

(also, what Masto instance did you use?)

@mewmew @matrix @hj Huh, then the admin must've added a shitload of emojis

( mastodon.sergal.org )

@mewmew Yeah okay, there's the entirety of Mutant Standard, i.e. there are like 30 color variations per emoji, plus some other emojis such as blobs, blobcats, etc. No blobfoxxos though

@Feuerfuchs mutant standard was a mistake

@mewmew @Feuerfuchs i don't understand what people mean when they say "we use mutant standard" there are loads of emoji packs and you should install all of them

@xj9 @Feuerfuchs if you ask the mastodon.sergal.org admin the answer is yes
