AMD cards tend to age badly, though.
That might be due to AMD dropping cards after certain driver versions, though.

I've ran a Radeon HD 6450 and it stopped getting updates from AMD after a few versions.
I've moved to Nvidia's GTX 1050 ti (installed Zotac's Mini card in my system) since then and it's still supported as Pascal is only one generation behind the current one and generations get dropped after they get seven generations behind.

That's a 8 year old card. When did they stop supporting it? AMD is generally pretty decent in terms of long term support.
Nvidia's support is so so. They fully support just the current generation and all the other ones just get fixes and game updates.

AMD Radeon 6450's updates stopped around 2015.
The last Catalyst Software Suite version that AMD has supporting that card is 1.5.71 WHQL, with a beta of 16.2.1.
I'm still running Windows 10's system drivers for my AMD PhenomII X6 1045t (OEM configuration) and it's running fine.

Correction. The last stable Catalyst Control Center to support that card was 15.7.1 WHQL.
