@matrix Where do all these mobile games with millions of players keep coming from? What I mean is, every time I learn one of those exists, they are already a massive cultural phenomenon with no equal.

Then again, I don't play mobile games...

Everyone has a phone. People who never played video games play these, because they are like crack. It's a free crack sample.
Once a few games proved that this business model works, everyone jumped on the band wagon.

@matrix @rasterman This, for the most part it's either shovelware or gambling, designed to be addicting.
There are a few good phone games but they don't stand out since they don't have the con-fueled advertising presence the bad ones do.
@nerthos @matrix Are they shovelware? I never played one; but they look polished well enough. Some times I'm impressed by how professional those games look. :blobthinking:
