me: *criticises the left*
me 5 seconds later: *criticises the right too to not send the wrong message across*
@partridge @tuxcrafting now let me interject for a moment

it's just easier for me to criticise the left because i'm closer to it
@karen @partridge @tuxcrafting They're closer to being right so it's easier to get more frustrated with them
@karen @partridge @tuxcrafting Exactly, where do you even start with criticising conservatism in general? Wanting to keep things the way they are? Believing that we broadly got the foundations of society right three or four hundred years ago - and in EUROPE, at that?

It's laughable. It's pathetic.

The only "right wing" school of thought that presents an actual *intellectual challenge* is anarcho-capitalism and that's because it's basically the result of a lot of scaffolded intellectualisation that all verifies and reinforces itself pretty mathematically. If you make the erroneous assumption that some kind of abstract value representation (i.e. capital) is a fundamental part of the way sentience parses the world then it actually makes a lot of sense.

Unfortunately that isn't true, so in practice it's just a lot of incredibly academically minded people who genuinely want to do the best for the world around them but who are working on a bad assumption, and that's what makes it so fucking infuriating.

Oh and it's also the beloved ideology of brainlets who feel all the standard arm-folding conservative resentment but don't want to commit to fascism, so they put their faith in a different higher power instead. You can usually tell *those* ones becuase they have their colours everywhere and their snake memes everywhere and they never shut the fuck up about how much they hate "commies"

I dunno, maybe that? :smug:

@matrix @druid @karen @partridge @tuxcrafting Pre-Enlightenment Europe was going pretty well. Before soyboy faggots with an agenda like Voltaire showed up. :blobthinkingglare:
@rasterman @druid @karen @matrix @partridge now that's a new one
you're on a level of enlightenment ever higher than ancaps
@tuxcrafting @druid @karen @matrix @partridge AnCaps? That's so 2019. :smug3: If you wanna know a superior level of autism, look up anarcho-monarchism.
@tuxcrafting @druid @karen @matrix @partridge They won't. They're just getting more powerful every day. To stop them, you must first stop the progressives that give them power.

Then, we can all go back to the 90's when we had things right, and the power of the individual can truly rise.

@matrix @partridge @karen @tuxcrafting @druid Every day is a new magical discovery on the archaeological site of the Internet.
@matrix @druid @karen @partridge @tuxcrafting Oh, partridge just blocked me. I often forget my words carry such weight.
@rasterman @druid @karen @matrix @partridge @tuxcrafting
I always use it whenever I smell a possible void signifier.
Something like "means well" is too ill defined. Yeah, basically every major crime in history has been done by people who "meant well", at least according to them. Even The Great Replacement is defended by people claiming they "mean well" for the world.
@TheMadPirate @druid @karen @matrix @partridge @tuxcrafting Well, there you go. If you once saw how the GR means well, then some Nigger comes and tells you that's bad, *BOOM!* you block him. Problem solved. Never hear a different opinion so you don't need to re-evaluate what you already know. Easy life ahead. :smug:

By pointing out that the enlightenment draw people out of the nightmare of medieval era and it's despicable societal principles.
