@druid @karen @matrix it is sad that people have to even quantify rational and emotional as two axises
the brain is a cocktail-network of chemicals wired differently for different people, but the goal is always the same: reinforce good, punish bad
what is good and bad is either inherited socially or self defined
Praising pure objectiveism is akin to praising pure emotional behaviour, they are both products of somebody being unable to balance two subsets of "feeling" because ultimately nothing is sacred, your brain doesn't care if you're trying to be objective, it's still giving you the little feelings you have when you believe you are right about something emotional
you can tune your beliefs to killing it as much as possible but unfortunately you have a head attached to your body that feels, sees, and thinks things and you're in it, and the same chemicals for why the freehand of the market is the best replacement for a father ever, and why all men should be killed because they fucked up society for 100 years are both exactly the same
It's almost like "objectivism" is impossible and the best way forward is to think about what can be done for society as it is rather than through a bunch of tubes and funnels everyone sets up for themselves so they think the right things and not the "bad ones" like that whole other group that I don't like does
