@matrix game journos are a joke and no one should take what they have to say about game seriously.
@rasterman @matrix Only a games journalist would complain about shit like MP and staggering enemies and other things that are in an awful lot of JRPG battle systems.
@ArdanianRight @matrix Have they always been this horrible or did them, at some point, become retards who hate video games? Serious question. I missed the whole GamerGate thing, so this is kinda new to me.
@rasterman @matrix Judging by their old Pokemon Mystery Dungeon reviews, they've always been shit.
@rasterman @ArdanianRight @matrix Gaming journalists have always been horrible and corrupt, but in later years they also became rabid Cultural Marxists spewing hatred towards straight White men (aka the majority of their readers) and shilling for no-talent SJW devs like Zoe Quinn and their non-games.
@ChristiJunior @rasterman @ArdanianRight @matrix

> no-talent SJW devs like Zoe Quinn and their non-games

If it wasn't for all those evil male gamers, that game would have been #1 on the charts for two years straight.
@ArdanianRight @rasterman @matrix These people no doubt think that Shulk-Reyn-Sharla is the optimal Xenoblade team, and that Melia sucks for being so squishy and only being able to summon stuff (no way in hell they ever figured out how her Talent Art actually works).
@ChristiJunior @matrix @rasterman My guess is if they even tried playing Xenoblade they gave up around Xord and don't know who Melia is.
@matrix I saw a screenshot of the boss fight and Cloud literally tells you what to do. It's not a subtle hint, he tells you exactly what would work against that boss
@solidsanek @matrix FF7R demo was absolutely amazing. The boss mechanics are really obvious and well telegraphed/explained by Barret and Cloud (what magic to use, how to interrupt the grab, where to go when he does the tail laser thing). This Chris guy is obviously just fishing for controversy/drama/objectively wrong opinion so he can get retweets/attention.

You can literally play in "classic" mode and the game (almost) plays itself, you just have to input skills like in a turn based game (cloud will automatically block/counter, walk out of boss AOE range, etc).
@morg @matrix I should try out that demo this weekend, it sounds worth a try
