stuff i generally like:

fiction only, please
sci-fi and fantasy, bc i’m a fuggen nerd
thrillers, actually wanna read more of those
philosophical novels
i actually really like children’s books
maybe something outside of my usual genre that’s still good regardless

stuff i generally don’t care for:

romance novels.* romance can absolutely be a subplot in a story, and i love it when it’s executed well, but purely romance novels usually aren’t my thing
lgbt-related literature, i can’t relate to it that well
novels about autistic people, i’ve read those enough already when i was younger
smut with no depth, you know the type.

*i am open to a good romance novel in theory, but from experience most of them aren’t very good
