Society decides, and enforces. Here is a social construct: “Rape is bad” Society will fuck your shit up if you’re found to be a rapist. The law will come for you. Even other criminals will come for you, purely out of spite; this behavior is no bueno. Don’t think for one second that we can’t enforce socially contrived standards of behavior, or that we shouldn’t, just because they’re socially contrived.
