@matrix Another good thing about Xenoblade including aggressive high-level enemies in early-game areas, it's sure to trip up these walking sim-junkies.
@ChristiJunior @matrix I was confused running into enemies I couldn't steamroll at first after the past decade or so of Nintendo making everything Easy mode.
@matrix >doing nothing productive paired surprisingly well with the DNC

you don't say
@matrix These fat whores need to go outside if they want to walk that badly.
@matrix I'll push back on this. I don't see the problem, that's a valid desire especially given how aesthetically beautiful modern games can be. People like walking in nature in real life, if they were threatened by bandits or deadly creatures every 2 minutes it wouldn't be fun. Yeah having stuff to do in a game is more fun, but people wanting to chill out in a game I don't find that objectionable.

With a single console command you can disable AI and walk all over without incident in many games.
@sarchasm @matrix I like chilling out in big beautiful worlds too, but the best games balance being able to chill with also having meaningful objectives.
@ArdanianRight @matrix Dear Esther is a really good "walking" game. It's more like a story, but yeah you do essentially walk around. "Valley" would be a good one for this purpose too. "Fugue In Void" is like an art project thing, no combat, just walking. And of course The Stanley Parable and The Beginner's Guide.

@matrix This is why men built civilisation: because we do all the hard work. And now women want a equal slice of the cake.
