@matrix I dunno, I feel like Tim keeps seeing the very worst of what’s going on and thinking that it’s just everywhere. Which I get, because media is all he does all day. Like he’s suffering from media overexposure.
He needs to take a vacation, rent a cabin and go chill without his phone for a few days.
This is gonna be a bit shitty, then November will roll around. Trump will win and there will be some ruckus and some great memes, but the money will dry up because it’s pointless until next election season and things will mostly normalize.
@shebang @matrix No one who wants a war even knows what they're truly asking for. Revolutions are bloody. They are terrible. The "good" or "right" side is not ensured to win.
I think the majority of America will be okay and I think many see though the media bullshit right now. Chicago is not very bad, but by comparison, Portland and Seattle are is pretty bad chaos. The lockdowns really need to end too. They're killing every business not deemed "essential," whatever the fuck that even means any more.
I don't think we'll see a war, but we will see a ton of cities go into Detroit style situations. A lot of businesses will find legal ways to pay themselves their reserves and declare bankruptcy on the business entity, and those people will probably leave these cities, get new loans (should be easy because despite a default history, everyone is going to need them) and start elsewhere.
