I'm setting up lolisafe and I got the cheapest VPS with 512MB RAM for it, because it's just a tiny mostly static Node application and Nginx. It runs without issues.
However I wanted to scan uploads with ClamAV. That's a no go. The server runs out of memory because it needs like 1200MB of RAM to scan even the tiniest file and it hits the CPU like crazy. Increasing swap doesn't help because it's just too slow.

@matrix yep, had to remove clamav from production servers at work because it would use up all the RAM and then Linux would oomkill our application so clamav could run.

@Moon
It kills ClamAV on my server, but that fails the upload. I'm just going to have to remove it and hope nobody uploads something dangerous.
