The election gave people a choice of two old white men who have dodgy attitudes to women, Biden has said the most awfully racist things and Trump his reported to have also, Biden was great friends with segregationists and said he didn’t want his kids to go to school in a racial jungle…..

The speaking up about Biden was never about aligning with Trump but acknowledging that the press didn’t scrutinise the corrupt old perv Biden to the same degree and it seems radical feminists have the same blind spot.

@PosieParker in the US there are only two choices. It is not a parliamentary system. There is not a GC/RF sympathizing wing of the D party like there is in Labour. Any Democratic candidate, man or woman, was reciting the TWAW line. I don’t think you in the UK get how thoroughly the GC POV has been purged from the US political discourse. It’s either TWAW or you’re a Republican. And their ,POV is pro-life. There is no magical pure vote for women in the US. Your criticism of D voting women is blind to the political and cultural realities here.

I think all those celebrating his win will have to wrestle with their consciences when he passes through the Equality Act and EVERY single women’s right is lost.

@PosieParker @tervacious Do you mean abortion? That is federally mandated through the supreme court decision Roe vs Wade. It is legal throughout the country. The anti abortion states have been nibbling away at it for years, making it difficult, sometimes impossible, for women to get abortions in their states. As to Biden, I think what I and many other women on spinster are happy about is the end of trump (I posted about my feelings earlier). I dislike Biden, as many of us do, and have no illusions about his and most Democratic politicians parroting trans narrative. Trump was an abomination, a horror a nightmare, he was impeached but didn’t leave, he has done so many illegal things, so corrupt, so despicable. If you had to live with him in your country, day in day out with his lies, his bigotry, his hatred, his stupidity, perhaps you would understand better. The US has just withdrawn from the Paris Accords, his environmental understanding is nil and on and on. Many of us fully understand about Biden and the equality act, it is not us you need to remind. Our choices were nil. Trump had to go no matter what. We will now have to fight tooth and nail the democrats for women’s rights. We have been doing that already state to state, organization to organization and on and on. With your help, with our new organizations like LBG alliance and Women’s Human Rights Campaign and WOLF, etc. we will increase our visibility and our voice.

Ok…come on. I know you don’t mean it in a sabotaging way but we have movements sprouting up like LGB alliance and WHRC USA to join WoLF and FIST, and more US women energized on this movement than ever before (thanks, JKR!). We need women to rise up and fight, not be told “you’ll lose.” Nobody knows the future.

@female_solidarity Biden is in the pockets of corporate, including the technocrats, USA… With him at the helm I really do fear the worst. Maybe it will take him totally breaking the backs of women for some to wake up. I intend to put my efforts into helping the fight, with him in power perhaps the fight will be bigger. I’m just quite annoyed at how many women still think the left are on their side, it’s like staying for the kids.

Good grief. Are you not paying attention at all? Who said the “left,” by whom I assume you mean the Dems, are on our side? We’re telling you all of the reasons we felt we had to get rid of Trump, but it’s like talking to a wall.
