@matrix His reasoning breaks down with "We know the representation matters!" - is representation having as much females together? How do we know it matters, what other conclusion could be drawn from the data of the study that wouldn't conflict with his opinion?
IMO, having mixed male/female teams is not only "diverse", but also brings closer both sexes in terms of goals, awards, hardships, pays, etc... but I don't have any study to back it up, just opinion.

@matrix You should amass lots of academic followers and post this on twitter or Fedi. Preferably with a different, less controversial account.
